The Blackhawk Rec Center is a recreation center located on the main campus in West Burlington.

The Blackhawk Rec Center use is free for credit students and employees. Community members can sign up and use the walking track for free.

Intramurals & Tournaments

SCC is dedicated to the pursuit of wellness for each and every student.

We offer a full slate of intramural activities and tournaments as a fun way to be active.

Intramurals

Join an intramural league at Southeastern to meet new friends and have fun! Intramurals provide competitive, recreational activities for participants of any skill level.

Structured leagues and tournaments are offered in a variety of team and individual events, including:

  • Co-ed Dodgeball

IMLeagues

All intramural participants will be required to create an account on .

*IMLeagues now has a mobile app (called IMLeagues) that can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play Store. It can be used to signup and create/join teams.

How to create an IMLeagues account:
  1. Go to

    OR

    Go to and click SIGN UP

    OR

    Go to and click 鈥淟og in with Facebook鈥 if you have a Facebook account with your school email attached - this will automatically create an account, fill in your info, and join you to the school (steps 2-4)
  2. Enter your information, and use your School email if applicable (@scciowa.edu) and submit.
  3. You will be sent an activation email, click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
  4. You should be automatically joined to your school 鈥 If not you can search schools by clicking the 鈥淪chools鈥 link
How to sign up for an intramural sport:
  1. Log in to your IMLeagues.com account.
  2. Click the 鈥淕et Involved鈥 button at the top right of your User Homepage page

    OR

    Click on the 鈥溇ㄕ沤蜩も link at the top to go to your school's homepage on IMLeagues.
  3. The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join. Choose the league you wish to play in (Men's, Women's, Co-Rec, etc.)
  4. Choose the division you'd like to play in (Monday 5PM, Tuesday 5PM, etc.)
Ways to join the sport:

1. Create a team (For team captains)

  • Captains can invite members to their team by clicking 鈥淭eam Options鈥 and then 鈥淚nvite Members鈥 link on the team page. Any invited members must accept the invitation to be joined to your team.
  • If they've already registered on IMLeagues: search for their name, and invite them
  • If they haven't yet registered on IMLeagues: scroll down to the 鈥淚nvite by Email Address鈥 box, and input their email address.

2. Join a team

  • Find existing teams on the league page and click the 鈥渏oin team鈥 button to send a request to join a team
  • Accepting a request from the captain to join a team
  • Finding the team and captain name on division/league page and requesting to join
  • Going to the captain's playercard page, viewing the team, and requesting to join

3. Join as a Free Agent

  • You can list yourself as a free agent in as many divisions within a league as you'd like. You will be visible to all members of the site and can request to join teams, or post information about yourself so teams can request to add you to their team.

Friday 6:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday & Sunday Noon - 7:00pm

Summer Hours

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday Closed
Sunday Closed

In some instances, the Rec Center will be closed with no advance notice. These include, but are not limited to, inclement weather and emergency situations.

If campus is closed, the Rec Center is also closed. This includes all weather-related closings. See the academic calendar for scheduled college closings.

Use of Facility

Recreational use of the Blackhawk Rec Center facility is limited to approved members.

All persons wishing to utilize the Blackhawk Rec Center are required to sign a BRC Waiver, a Release of Liability Form, and possess and present a current Blackhawk ID at the time they use the facility.
